Ordering
How much notice do I need for orders?
For cupcakes, simply order by 12:00 noon for next morning delivery or collection.
For celebration cakes, we require orders to be placed by midnight two days before your requested delivery or collection date. For example, if you require your cake on Saturday, your order must be placed by midnight on Thursday.
Custom cakes and specialty designs generally require 3 days notice, and some highly customised creations may require additional lead time.
Please note that during busy periods, weekends and seasonal events, we may reach production capacity before our advertised cut-off times. To avoid disappointment, we recommend placing your order as early as possible.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
Yes! A selection of our most popular cupcakes, cakes and sweet treats are available for same-day delivery through Uber Eats.
Simply search for The Cupcake Factory in your preferred delivery app and enjoy delivery in as little as 45 minutes.
How can I place an order?
There are three easy ways to order:
Online – Browse our range, customise your order and checkout in just a few minutes through our website.
By Phone – Our Customer Experience team is available during business hours to assist with your order.
Click & Collect – Order online and collect from our Artarmon bakery at a time that suits you.
Do you deliver on Sundays?
We do not currently offer Sunday deliveries.
If you require your cake for a Sunday celebration, we recommend selecting Saturday delivery or collection. Most cakes can be refrigerated overnight and brought to room temperature 3–4 hours before serving. Cupcakes can generally be stored at room temperature overnight.
How do I place a bulk or corporate order?
For large orders, corporate events or multiple delivery locations, simply contact our team. We can provide a tailored quote and assist with coordinating your order.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Shop Pay and EFT payments.
All orders must be paid in full prior to collection or delivery unless an approved corporate account arrangement is in place.
CanI place multiple deliveries in one order?
Each delivery address requires a separate order. If you need products delivered to multiple locations, please place a separate order for each address or contact our team for assistance with large corporate orders.
CanI include a gift card with my order?
Absolutely. Simply include your message during checkout and we'll take care of the rest.
Delivery & Click & Collect
Where is Click & Collect available?
Orders can be collected from our Artarmon bakery:
Unit 6, 43 Herbert Street, Artarmon NSW 2064
There is convenient parking available on-site.
Collection times are selected during checkout.
Where do you deliver?
We deliver to most Sydney metropolitan suburbs. We also offer cupcake deliveries to the Central Coast on selected days.
If you're unsure whether we deliver to your area, simply enter your postcode at checkout or contact our team.
What days do you deliver?
We deliver Monday to Saturday.
We do not currently offer deliveries on Sundays.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery fees are calculated based on the distance from our Artarmon bakery and will be displayed during checkout once you enter your delivery postcode.
What time will my order arrive?
Our standard delivery windows are:
Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 2:00pm
Saturday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
Delivery times depend on the courier route and delivery schedule for the day.
Can I request a specific delivery time?
You're welcome to include a preferred delivery time in the Special Requirements section at checkout and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Please note that delivery times cannot be guaranteed.
For time-sensitive events, we recommend selecting collection or scheduling delivery for the day prior where possible.
Can I track my order?
Yes. On the day of delivery, you'll receive a text message containing a live tracking link once your driver has collected your order.
You'll be able to track your delivery in real time and view the estimated time of arrival.
Can I add delivery instructions?
Yes. Delivery instructions can be added during checkout and may also be updated via your tracking link on the day of delivery.
Can the driver call me before arriving?
Unfortunately, our drivers are unable to make courtesy calls before delivery.
We recommend using the live tracking link provided via SMS to monitor your delivery's progress and estimated arrival time.
What happens if nobody is home?
Where safe to do so, the driver may leave the order in a secure location.
If a safe location is unavailable, such as certain apartment buildings without reception or parcel facilities, the order may be returned to our bakery and a redelivery fee may apply.
Can you deliver to restaurants, hotels or event venues?
Yes. However, it is the customer's responsibility to confirm that the venue will accept and store the order appropriately.
Please ensure the venue is aware of the delivery and can refrigerate cakes if required.
If delivery cannot be completed because the venue refuses or is unable to accept the order, a redelivery fee may apply.
Can you deliver to parks?
Unfortunately, we do not deliver to parks or public outdoor locations.
Cake & Cupcake Information
What size are your cupcakes?
We offer two cupcake sizes:
Mini Cupcakes – approximately 3cm diameter
Regular Cupcakes – approximately 5cm diameter
What cake sizes do you offer?
We offer a wide range of cake sizes to suit everything from intimate celebrations to large events.
Our cakes range from 6-inch cakes serving 6–8 people through to large slab cakes serving up to 100 people.
Individual product pages include detailed sizing and serving information.
How are serving sizes calculated?
Our serving recommendations are based on coffee-sized portions rather than large dessert-sized slices.
For larger serves, we recommend selecting the next size up.
Can I change the colours of a cake on your website?
Yes. In most cases, we can adjust icing colours without affecting the price.
Simply include your colour requests in the Special Requirements section during checkout.
Do you make custom cakes?
Yes. We love creating custom cakes.
Email our team with inspiration images, preferred colours, theme, serving requirements and event date, and we'll let you know what's possible.
Can you print photos or logos on cakes and cupcakes?
Yes. We can print company logos, photographs and other images onto cakes and cupcakes using edible image printing.
Can I have multiple logos on my cupcake order?
Absolutely. Multiple logos or images can be used across your cupcake order.
Do you provide candles?
Candles are not included with our cakes but can be purchased separately on selected products.
Can you provide custom cake toppers?
We do not currently supply custom acrylic cake toppers. These can be sourced through specialist cake topper suppliers.
Storage & Care
How should I store cupcakes?
Our cupcakes are best enjoyed on the day of purchase.
If required, they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days.
We do not recommend refrigerating cupcakes.
How should I store my cake?
Most cakes should be refrigerated until required.
We recommend removing your cake from the fridge approximately 3–4 hours before serving to allow it to return to room temperature for the best flavour and texture.
Do cheesecakes need to be stored in the fridge?
Yes, they do need to go into the fridge overnight.
Other Product Questions
Can you alter the icing colour of the cakes on your website?
Yes, we can change the icing colours and it will not change the price. You indicate this in the special requirements box when
ordering.
Do you make custom cakes and how much do you charge?
If you can email us at info@thecupcakefactory.com.au with an image of the cake design you had in mind, we can review the image and see whether it is something we can assist with.
Are your cakes sponge cakes?
Our cakes are not sponge cakes. They are denser and heavier with a richer texture.
Do you use fresh cream in your cakes?
We do not use fresh cream in any of our cakes, we only use buttercream icing.
Do you provide candles with all the cakes?
No, we don’t supply candles with the cakes.
Can you provide custom cake toppers?
We are unable to provide custom cake toppers. These will need to be purchased separately through a specialty custom cake topper store.
What is the difference with the logo flat on the icing or the logo on the disc?
Logo flat on the icing is where the edible icing sheets sits directly on the icing cupcake not on a disc.
Can you print pictures (not logos) on the cupcakes or cakes?
Yes, we can print pictures and images not just logos.
Can I have multiple logos on my cupcake order?
Yes, you can have multiple logos on your cupcakes.
Dietary Requirements
Are your cupcakes nut free?
We don’t have any nuts in the majority of our cupcakes (except the Indulgent range) but we do advise that there may be traces of nuts as our kitchen is not a nut free kitchen.
Do you make gluten free cupcakes?
Yes, we make chocolate gluten free cupcakes.
Do you make eggless cakes?
All of our cakes and cupcakes have eggs. Our decorations also contain eggs.
Do you do dairy free and lactose free cupcakes?
We don’t have any dairy free cupcakes or lactose free cupcakes.
Are your cupcakes Halal?
We are not Halal certified – our products do not have pork, but some of our sugar decorations have gelatine and we also use vanilla essence which contains alcohol.
Do you make sugar free cakes for people with diabetes?
We do not make sugar free cakes unfortunately.
Do you make your cakes with less sugar for babies under 1?
We do not make low sugar cakes.
